1 Day Networking and Experience Sharing Workshop in Wind Energy Sector in Nepal

Venue: Held in Dining park Lounge and bar, Mid Baneshwore, Kathmandu
The networking event and experience sharing was held on 17th November 2017. The event brought together diverse mix of participants from policy development field, small wind solar implementation programme, country directors and CEO’S form various NGO’s and INGO’s along with different private sectors of renewable energy.
Mr Santosh Rai from SASEC/AEPC presented past current and future work from the governmental side along with issues and constraints in the sector. Mr Kushal Gurung from Wind Power Nepal company presented his work experience, constraints and opportunities in small wind turbine in Nepal. Mr Kimon Silwal from KAPEG presented his work experience in locally constructed wind turbines and future direction for this technology.
The discussion and Q&A session ran for 1 hour with discussion in different areas of wind energy.
The event was organized with the aim to create as much exchange of information as possible with participation of high level dignitaries working in different sectors of renewable energy. The total of 34 people participated for the event.
